<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp which turns on simultaneously with power-on, wherein a blink lifetime is improved, and wherein substitution nature with an incandescent lamp for general illumination is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is equipped with a fluorescent lamp main body 1, and a lighting circuit 2 which activates and turns on the fluorescent lamp main body 1 with instant start system, and which is arranged and installed integrally with the fluorescent lamp main body 1 to satisfy Ig > 0.9Ia when the rated lamp current of the fluorescent lamp main body 1 is taken as Ia and a glow current to flow before glow arc transition is taken as Ig. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
