PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce 1/f noise specific to a pixel in an infrared image sensor, for a low noise/high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The infrared imaging device uses an infrared image sensor 200 of a type which makes a bias current flow to read a signal. A first frame memory 201 holds the frame data outputted from a sensor 200 for at least a single frame period. A second frame memory 205 holds an output frame data. A comparator 203 compares a reference voltage So in unit of pixel with a difference between a current frame data which is the output of the sensor 200 and the frame data held in the first frame memory 201, for each frame period. If the difference is larger than the reference voltage So, the data of the second frame memory 205 is rewritten with the current frame data for outputting. If the difference is smaller than the reference voltage So, the data of the second frame memory 205 is held and outputted as it is. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
