PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brazing method for an aluminum based member having satisfactory brazability and excellent corrosion resistance by using a small amount of flux of potassium fluorozincate, and sufficiently quickly causing substitution reaction between Zn and Al. SOLUTION: In the brazing method, a powdery mixture of potassium fluorozincate and aluminum or an aluminum alloy is allowed to exist on a place to be brazed and joined, and heating is performed in an inert gas, so that the aluminum based member is brazed.
