Multistory building comprises a working building (2) having levels with roadways having the length of the longest vehicle to be treated. Functional regions in each level are arranged on both sides of the roadway with workshop areas or assembly line areas (8) and additional rooms, such as storage rooms, offices and socializing rooms. The body of the building has two parking towers (10, 11) having lifts (14, 15) for vehicles and has a multistory parking bridge connecting the two towers. The towers and the parking bridge each have a loading zone (19) having the length of the of the longest vehicle to be treated and having adjusting surfaces (20) directed at right angles to the loading zone. Preferred Features: Vehicles can be automatically moved within the building using shuttles which freely move within the building. Each shuttle is formed by a flat longitudinal vehicle having its own drive and control unit.
