LAMINATED ELECTRONIC COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the mountable area of a mounted component from being narrowed by a metallic cover fitted to a laminate when the component is mounted on the first main surface side of the laminate and the metallic cover is fitted to the laminate to cover the component.

SOLUTION: Electrodes 34 for connecting are formed on the side faces 26 of the laminate 23, and the metallic cover 29 is fixed to the laminate 23 by joining the legs 33 of the cover 29 to the electrodes 34 by using a conductive bonding material 35. The electrodes 34 for connecting are formed so that the electrodes 34 may not reach the second main surface 25 of the laminate 23 on which external terminal electrodes 30 are provided and may not be connected electrically to the electrodes 30 on the external surface of the laminate 23.
