<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader in which demarcation is made between an opening for exposing an operating part to the outside of a casing and an image reading means such as an optical system, and an image sensor by simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A circular outer rib 12 to be abutted on the outside of an inner rib 14 circularly formed at a portion surrounding a through hole of the casing 26 is formed in an elastic member 22. Thus, an approach of dust from the through hole 16 of the casing 26 to the image reading means is blocked at an abutted portion between the inner rib 14 and the outer rib 12 of the elastic member 22. Consequently, the through hole 16 for exposing the operating part 18 to the outside of the casing 26 and the image reading means are demarcated by the elastic member 22 itself having the operating part 18 for operating an image scanner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
