PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high image quality image reception sheet for electrophotography with satisfactory toner fixing property and excellent glossiness and brittleness, and to provide an image forming method using the image reception sheet for electrophotography. SOLUTION: The image-receiving sheet for electrophotography used in the image forming method is provided with a support constituted by providing a resin layer on one or both surfaces of a substrate; and at least one toner image reception layer on the support. The resin layer on the side of the toner image-receiving layer of the support contains polyethylene having a mass average density of <0.925g/cm3or a melt flow rate (MFR) of <10g/10 min as a major component.
