Apparatus configured to facilitate cleaning of paintbrushes by direct driving of the paint brush in a rotary movement is disclosed. Paint brushes include a drive bit/shaft (202) securely received and/or fastened into a cavity of a handle portion (103) of the paint brush to provide a means (202) to transfer rotary movement from an attachable electric drill (703) or other drive means. Rapid rotation of the brush along its major longitudinal axis results in centrifugal spinning out of paint held on the bristles (102) of the brush and cleaning is thereby effected.
