<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control personal radiation exposure, to control personal exposure of an operator with no expert knowledge, and to make a commander determination properly on the side of an controlling apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The radiation measuring system comprises a plurality of personal dosimeters 10 and the controlling apparatus. The dosimeter 10 comprises a head unit 12 mounted on a helmet and a main body 14 attached to a breast pocket of an operator. The main body 14 is provided with a microcomputer 46 which calculates a dose rate and an integral dose. In accordance with a notification condition table, a proper notification condition according to the combination of each value of the dose rate and the integral dose is selected. Then, a message based on the notification condition is outputted from a speaker 70 through a voice synthesizing unit 68. The head unit 12 is provided with a position detector 72 and an imaging device 74.
