PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving body provided with a lock mechanism capable of securely regulating travel and releasing it without moving a moving body main body greatly in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: This moving body 10 is provided with the moving body main body 20, a caster 30, and the lock mechanism 50 having an abutting part which leaves a floor surface by rising to allow travel by the caster 30 and is abutted on the floor surface by lowering to regulate travel by the caster 30. The lock mechanism 50 has a pair of elevating bodies which have an abutting part in a bottom part, respectively, and are turnably attached to the moving body main body 20 through parallel links and an operation mechanism operated by operation of an operation part and turning each elevating body in the mutually opposite directions to elevate and lower it.
