PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf tobacco rack lifter freely movable even if the ceiling height of a relevant workplace is short and seldom upsetting itself. SOLUTION: The leaf tobacco rack lifter has such a construction that the upper part of a vertically extending lift slider 28 is joined to a hanging rail 19 on which a needle rack 2 with a roller 1 is movably placed, and a lift guide 30A liftably engaged with the slider 28 is provided on the inner surface of a pair of left and right supporting columns 30. This leaf tobacco rack lifter works to lift the hanging rail 19 to a position higher than the supporting columns 30 by lifting the slider 28 by the action of a driving motor 24 set on a base member 11.
