摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate for a flat display apparatus and a method for manufacturing the substrate for reliably repairing a short circuit generated between a scanning line and a signal line without depending on the kind, dimension or shape of the foreign matter or the like as the cause. <P>SOLUTION: After an interlayer short circuit 9 or 9' is detected, first and second bypass wiring patterns 61, 62 are formed by laser CVD and cut portions 65, 66, 67 on lines are formed by laser cutting. The first bypass wiring 61 runs from one side part 31a of a signal line 31-1, passing over a scanning line 11-1 and a nearby TFT7-1 to the edge of a pixel electrode 5-1 connected to the TFT 7-1. The second bypass wiring 62 connects the other part 31b of the signal wiring 31-1 and the pixel electrode 5-1 in a part adjacent to these with the shortest distance.
