The method for increasing the resistance to interference of a guided missile with an approach sensor and igniter. According to the method the approach sensor is activated at a defined first distance from the target and then up until a second defined distance any possibly occurring ignition signals for the approach igniter are suppressed. During this waiting time the environmental situation of the missile is determined and its measurement algorithm matched to the environmental situation.
