<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability by positively preventing a large surge current from flowing immediately after a switching element for passing a high-frequency current through a resonant circuit is turned on. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a rectifier circuit 1; a smoothing circuit 2; a resonant circuit 5 made up of a first load 6, a heating coil 7 and a capacitor 8; a first switching element 9 for passing a high-frequency current; a first control means 10 for controlling the first switching element 9; a second load 11 connected to the smoothing circuit 2; a second switching element 12 connected to the second load 11; and a second control means 13 for controlling the second switching element 12. Immediately before the first switching element 9 is turned on by the first control means 10, the second control means 13 turns on the second switching element 12 for a predetermined period of time, and then turns it off.
