<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency snare which can surely execute polypectomy even when the head of a polyp, or the like, is large and moreover can execute the polypectomy without checking at a portion that becomes a dead angle of the polyp, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This high-frequency snare has a flexible tube 12, an operating wire 14 inserted slidably through the flexible tube 12 and connected to an electrode 42, and a leading edge treatment implement 16 provided at the leading edge of the operating wire 14. The flexible tube 12 has an insulating outer tube 18 and a conductive inner tube 20 inserted slidably and rotatably into the outer tube. The electrode 42 is fitted so that it pierces the inside of the outer tube and can come into contact with the inner tube 20 and so that it can energize the operating wire 14.
