PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lawn mower capable of preventing iron pieces lying dropped on a lawn from biting. SOLUTION: The lawn mower 1 comprises a sulky traveling body 2 and a mowing device 3 mounted in the front of the traveling body 2, wherein the mowing device 3 comprises a housing 31 as the skeleton thereof, a rotatably supported reel blade 4, a fixed blade for cutting lawn between the same and the reel blade 4, and a ground contact roller 6 supported rotatably in front of the reel blade in the advancing direction. In the mowing device 3, the ground contact roller 6 includes a part where larger-diameter elements constituted of washers 62 and smaller-diameter elements constituted of collars 63 are repeatedly provided alternately in the axial direction, wherein each of the collars 63 is constituted of a magnet.
