The invention relates to a motor for a centrifugal pump for a dishwasher. The rotor comprises a cylindrical disc (3) provided with a central hub (4) capable of being keyed onto a drive shaft in order to make the said rotor rotate in a predetermined direction. A plurality of main blades, extending from the hub to the circumferential border of the disc and inclined towards the rear with respect to the direction of rotation of the rotor is produced on the disc. Each main blade (5) comprises a radially internal part (6), curved inwards towards the rear with respect to the direction of rotation and connected to a radially outer part (7) curved towards the front. Additional blades (8), interposed between the main blades (5) are, furthermore, provided in the peripheral zone of the disc (3), exhibiting a reduced radial length, inclined towards the rear and curved towards the front with respect to the said direction of rotation.
