<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device comprising a low-cost and compact restricting means improved in jam treatment property, and an image forming device comprising it. <P>SOLUTION: Documents delivered by a delivery means 3 provided above a document placing part 2 so as to be in contact with and separate from the documents placed on the document placing part 2 are separated by separating parts 4, 5 and fed one by one toward an image reading means 102. The restricting means 13 provided between the separating parts 4, 5 and the delivery means 3 is moved to an escape position not preventing delivery of the documents in association with moving of the delivery means 3 toward a delivery position to be in contact with the documents when the documents are delivered by associating means 14, 15, 19. The restricting means 13 is moved to a restricting position restricting the documents placed on the document placing part 2 in association with moving of the delivery means 3 toward a delivery stop position spaced from the documents by the associating means 14, 15, 19 from reaching the separating parts 4, 5 before delivery operation by the delivery means 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
