<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery both excellent in cycle life and output characteristics at a high percentage. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a positive electrode 1, a negative electrode 2 using a graphite group carbon material as a negative electrode active material, and nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains at least saturated cyclic carbonic acid ester and cyclic carbonic acid ester having a double bond of carbon in the nonaqueous electrolyte solution. Provided that the content of cyclic carbonic acid ester having a double bond of carbon is X (g), a volume of the graphite system carbon material in the negative electrode is B (g), a specific area of the graphite system carbon material is A (m<SP>2</SP>/g), a size of a crystal piece of the graphite system carbon material in a c-axis direction is Lc, and that in an a-axis direction is La, a condition: 0.05×10<SP>-2</SP>≤x/[A×B×2Lc/(2Lc+La)]≤3×10<SP>-2</SP>is fulfilled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
