PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver whereby a use can easily select stream contents or a television broadcast to view the selected medium. SOLUTION: The receiver is adapted such that display is switched to a video image related to the television broadcast when a channel switching to the television broadcast is instructed in the case of receiving a stream broadcast via a network and the reception of the stream broadcast is temporarily interrupted.
