PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure between a down pipe and a drain pipe capable of preventing damage to the down pipe or the like at the time of an earthquake. SOLUTION: In the connecting structure providing a cylindrical drain pipe cover 4 between the lower end 21 of the down pipe 2 and the upper end 31 of the drain pipe 3 embedded in the ground, an adapter 5 suspending a chain gutter 6 is provided between the lower end 21 of the down pipe 2 and the upper end 41 of the drain pipe cover 4, the adapter 5 is mounted to the lower end 21 of the down pipe 2, and the downstream of the suspended chain gutter 6 is inserted into the drain pipe cover 4.
