PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the analysis display method of a structured document stored in a structured document database and a structured document analysis display unit using the method. SOLUTION: This structured document analysis display unit is provided with a means for setting analysis conditions for a structured document stored in a structured document database corresponding to a plurality of analysis axes, a means for generating hierarchical information for analysis, a means for retrieving a structured document from the structured document database based on the analysis conditions and hierarchical information for analysis, a means for executing summarization to the retrieval results and a means for displaying the summarized result. The hierarchical information for analysis is generated based on either the structural hierarchical information or concept hierarchical information according to the classification of the set analysis conditions.
