OVEN BODY EXPANSION MEASURING METHOD FOR COKE OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the longitudinal expansion of a coke oven, allowing the expansion of a selective longitudinal portion at a pitch of each combustion chamber and easy measurement during operating the coke oven and requiring no large-scale device. SOLUTION: The measuring method comprises forming an image 4 of a surface 5 of a carbonizing chamber oven wall of the coke oven, the image 4 being formed in a scale reduced in longitudinal distance with no distortion, measuring an interval L between brick joints 3a, 3b at two longitudinal points from the image 4, and comparing a design size L0of a brick joint interval with a measured size L, thereby measuring the longitudinal expansion of the carbonizing chamber oven wall 1.
