PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning filter which has biodegradability and consists of a multilayered nonwoven fabric excellent in dust collecting efficiency, dust collecting capacity and shape keeping property. SOLUTION: In this biodegradable filter consisting of the multilayered nonwoven fabric composed of a supporting base material layer and a surface layer, is characterized in that the supporting base material layer consists of a biodegradable resin binder and a mixture of 5-50 wt.% biodegradable fiber (A) having≥1 decitex and <5 decitex fiber diameter and 95-50 wt.% biodegradable fiber (B) having≥5 decitex and <40 decitex fiber diameter, and the surface layer consists of a filament nonwoven fabric of a biodegradable resin.
