The pressure sensor membrane (1) is formed from a slightly deformable material with an embossed membrane structure, with an active membrane surface between tensioned edge regions and at least one indented central measuring surface (2). The membrane is circular with at least one annular trapezoidal surface (3) around the outside of the measuring surface which has an outer edge angled at 45 degrees to its planar surface.
