PURPOSE: A method for transceiving a telephone number between mobile terminals is provided to transmit information on a specific telephone number to a network, and to transmit the telephone number in general message type from the network, then to display the telephone number by analyzing a message in a mobile terminal, thereby preventing the network from converting the telephone number into a DTMF signal. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal 2 requests a telephone number of a subscriber(300). A mobile terminal 1 transmits the telephone number to a network(302). The network converts the telephone number into a DTMF signal, and transmits the DTMF signal to the mobile terminal 2(304). The network informs the mobile terminal 1 whether the telephone number including the DTMF signal is correctly received(306). The mobile terminal 1 transmits information showing that the telephone number is completely transmitted to the network(308). The network informs the mobile terminal 2 of the complete DTMF information(310). The mobile terminal 2 decides whether the telephone number is correctly received(312). If so, the mobile terminal 2 informs the mobile terminal 1 that the telephone number is completely transmitted(314).
