PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller for image forming devices that minimizes power consumption and enables power saving with simple circuitry. SOLUTION: When a first switching means 14, placed between an AC input 11 and a first DC power supply 15, is manually turned on and then a switch 26 is manually turned on, power is supplied to a machine. In the power-saving mode, a control means 24 that turns on/off a second switching means 17 opens the second switching means 17, and opens a second DC power supply 18 to the control means 24 itself. Thus the power consumption is minimized, that is, only the power from the first DC power supply 15 is consumed. When an image forming device is operated again, the first switch means 14 is manually turned on. |
