The fleet of taxis are managed from a central station (4). Each of the taxis can compute distance between geographic location of a client (5), sent by the base station (4), and geographic position of the taxi. Each taxi compares this with a maximum distance and responds if it is within maximum distance, sending its distance to the base station which then selects a taxi using the distance data.
