PURPOSE: In-plane switching mode LCD is provided to form pixel electrodes and common electrodes in horizontal direction electrode structure parallel to gate lines, and to dispose the pixel electrodes adjacent to the gate lines, thereby increasing a degree of freedom and reducing distance between the gate lines and the pixel electrodes. CONSTITUTION: The first common electrode lines(104) are adjacent to gate lines(101). Common electrodes(106) connected to the first common electrode lines(104) are arranged in parallel to the common electrode lines(104). Pixel electrodes(107) connected with a drain electrode(102a) of a thin film transistor are overlapped with the first common electrode lines(104). Around data lines(103), the first common electrode lines(104) and the second common electrode lines(106a) are disposed parallel to the data lines(103). Pixel electrode lines(107a) connecting the pixel electrodes(107) are overlapped with the second common electrode lines(106a). |
