<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately set the curvature of a carrying path and the position of the carrying path to an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The belt 34 part is arranged on the side of a photoreceptor drum 11 from a boundary along an ellipse 41 in a carrying range up to a developing area A. Namely, the belt 34 part is arranged in an area D shown by oblique lines. Thereby the curvature of the belt 34 part and the position of the belt 34 to the photoreceptor drum 11 can be accurately set. Consequently a developer is effectively scattered and an electrostatic latent image on the drum 11 is developed by the developer in the developing area A between the photoreceptor drum 11 and the belt 34 (and a carrying body 35), and in the outside of the developing area A, the developer is not scattered from the belt 34 and the developer is stuck to the drum 11, so that adhesion of the developer to the drum 11 which may cause fogging can be suppressed and the periphery of the developing device 12 is not contaminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
