PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To (1) secure a wide space around feet, (2) use a single member as a door supporting member, (3) simplify a member structure, and (4) facilitate reinforcement against an eccentric load of the door. SOLUTION: A door hinge mechanism for an automobile for facilitating getting on and off by opening and closing the door in a manner that the door is translated based on a four-joint hinge structure and that the door is rotated around one hinge on the side of the door.
