PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a license plate to a rear gate visually recognizably from the back side of a vehicle even if the rear gate is in a substantially vertical state or in a substantially horizontal state, and to constitute the whole in a small shape. SOLUTION: This license plate holding bracket comprises a gate side fixed member fixed to the rear gate 1, and a plate holding member that holds the license plate, is turnably connected to the gate side fixed member, and can move the license plate LP to a substantially parallel state or a substantially standing state with respect to the rear gate 1.
