PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tenter apparatus which can prevent the occurrence of wrinkles in the lateral direction of a film and the cutting of the film due to the opening of a gripper after stretching by a simple apparatus constitution and can produce a sheetlike article such as the film or the like inclined in its orientation axis with respect to its lateral sides in arbitrary stretch ratio at an arbitrary orientation angle. SOLUTION: Outlet part opening members 53 and 54 for opening the gripping of the film due to clips 15 are provided in the vicinity of the tenter outlet 17 of rails 11 and 12. The positions of the outlet part opening members 53 and 54 are made displaceable along the rails 11 and 12 by a shift part 68. When the widths of the rails 11 and 12 are altered accompanying the alteration of a stretch ratio, the positions of the outlet part opening members 53 and 54 are moved along the rails 11 and 12 so as to become the same position in a film feed direction A1. Even if the stretch ratio is altered, the left and right clips 15 are always opened at the same position in the film feed direction A1. At the time of stretching of a thin film low in rigidity, the occurrence of wrinkles and the cutting of the film are suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
