PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which prevents foreign matter from entering the prescribed portion of the imaging apparatus in the removed state of a lens unit for imaging and is less optically adversely affected. SOLUTION: When a mounting member 32 is engaged with a guide slot 22 and the lens unit 30 is moved to a lower side along the guide slot 22, an aperture cover 18 is also pushed down by overcoming the elongating force of a coil spring 28 and the lens unit 30 is mounted on a camera body 12 and the aperture cover 18 is moved to an open position P2. In removing the lens unit 30, the lens unit 30 is moved to an upper side along the guide slot 22 so as to be disengaged from the guide slot 22. At this time, the aperture cover 18 is held energized from the open position P2 toward a close position P1 and therefore the cover moves together with the lens unit 30 to the upper side along the guide slot 22 and is fixed at the close position P1.
