PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fat evaporation apparatus with a simple structure and capable of safely and efficiently carrying out thermal decomposition of a fat-containing matter with a high fat content just like an ileum and to provide a method for the evaporation. SOLUTION: The fat evaporation apparatus comprises an object matter storage part for loading a matter containing fat to be evaporated and decomposed in the bottom part of an airtightly closable tank, a hot air supply means for supplying hot air to the tank in the top part of the airtightly closable tank, and a gaseous fat discharge means for discharging the gaseous fat, which is evaporated by hot air supplied from the hot air supply means, out of the airtightly closable tank.
