A method of displaying a residual electric charge in a battery of an electrically driven vehicle, in which a fully charged capacity of said battery is initially measured (S9) at the end of charging of said battery, calculation of consumed power based on current supplied to electrical loads of said electrically driven vehicle is performed (S2), the calculated consumed power is then subtracted (S3) from said fully charged capacity to give a battery residual electrical charge and a battery residual electrical charge meter is driven (S4) at one time in accordance with the measurement result of said fully charged capacity and at another time in accordance with the calculated result of said battery residual electric charge.
