PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively train the body by linking a sliding motion and a twisting motion. SOLUTION: The training apparatus has a main base 10 having horizontally extending slide shafts 14 provided side by side, a slide base 20 that can slide along the slide shaft 14, a footrest 30 rotatably provided on the upper portion of the slide base 20, a linking mechanism 40 made up of a rod 41 engaging an appropriate position around a center in the horizontal direction of the base 10 and the footrest 30 and a support 42 therefor so as to associate the slide position of the footrest 30 with the angle of rotation, and springs 51 and 52 providing the base 20 with an urging force toward the position around the center in the horizontal direction of the base 10.
