The system includes a track-while-scan pulse radar that provides navigational/tracking information of selected targets such as aircraft or missile (108). A computing/control unit controls the initial course of a missile selected from a group of guided missiles vertically launched on the naval vessel (100), towards intercept of a selected target based on the information received from the radar.
