PURPOSE: A system and a method for operating an auction service attaching a bidding deposit are provided to merchandize/sell various events through a discriminated Internet auction method, which gives an opportunity to join in the auction service free while inducing the auction deposit. CONSTITUTION: An auction register(320) performs auction registration by storing a bid in a bid information database(420) if the bid for the event is offered from a buyer terminal(3). A successful bidder processor(330) decides a successful bidder from the bid information for the event according to a unique lowest price auction method, a unique average price auction method, or a unique highest price auction method. A deposit processor(340) makes the user select the prompt cash repayment, the e-cash transform, or the period extension of the auction deposit if the bidding opportunity given to the buyer is expired. |
