<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is small sized. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes image forming parts, each of which has one image carrier and developing means which develop electrostatic latent images, formed on the image carrier, with their respective developers, thereby forming developer images; an intermediate transfer body onto which the developer images formed on each image carrier by the corresponding image forming part are primarily transferred by a primary transfer means; and an ejecting-and-stacking part which stacks transfer materials onto which the developer images on the intermediate transfer body are secondarily transferred by a secondary transfer means. In the image forming apparatus, the ITB (intermediate transfer belt) 40 is disposed above the image forming parts 2 and 3 and substantially parallel to the ejecting-and-stacking part 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
