PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus possessing an induction heating type fixing device having a support by which stable induction heating is continued for a long time by hardly causing deformation after an induction coil 52 is wound. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus equipped with the induction heating type fixing device possessing a heating member which generates heat by an induced current and is a hollow rotor, a pressing member that forms a nip part by coming into press-contact with the heating member and the induction coil spirally wound on the support concentrically arranged inside the heating member so as to generate a magnetic flux supplied to the heating member and heating a transfer material passing through the nip part with the heat from the heating member, the support of the induction coil is formed into a shape that several ribs are radially attached to a hollow or solid cylinder or prism and the ends of the ribs in parallel with the axial center of the support and positioned on the outer periphery of the support are positioned on a cylindrical surface that is concentric to the axial center and has the same diameter.
