PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing oyster through suppressing organic matter including excrements and toxic gases contributing to oyster extinction in culturing oyster to clean seawater and raise oyster survival rate and also through enabling oyster rafts to be reused. SOLUTION: The method for culturing oyster includes the following process. A plurality of bamboo charcoal mats are hung in the sea just under oyster rafts to directly receive and adsorb excrements or the like excreted from fishes-and-shellfishes so as to adsorb pollutants and/or toxic gases produced due to the excrements or the like, thus effecting cleaning seawater. In this method, the oyster culture rafts to be used are made of bamboo, and when their serviceable life expires, the rafts are crushed/incinerated into bamboo coal, thereby enabling the rafts to be reused for bamboo coal mats.
