A drain valve, especially for a thermally insulated tank, of the type in which the valve piston (13) is arranged in the bottom part of the tank and comprising a control portion (3) with an operating wheel (5), which control portion (3) is arranged on the diametrically opposite upper part of the tank, and an actuating rod connecting the valve piston (13) to said control portion (3), said valve being characterized in that the base plate (23) of the control portion (3) is firmly and sealingly connected to the inner plate (11) of the tank, said base plate (23) being surmounted by a tubular member (29) emerging in the manner of a chimney at least from the external plate or jacket (31) of the tank, to which it is applied with peripheral tightness.</p> |
