<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data communication method for efficiently utilizing communication resources and generating appropriate charging information. <P>SOLUTION: When a cellular phone MS2 receives low resolution data GDL, the cellular phone MS2 displays an image. When a user transmits a high resolution data request REQ2 (Sa5), a server 20 reads high resolution data GDH from an image data base (Sa6) and transmits it to the cellular phone MS2 on the receiving side (Sa7).
