HARD DISK DRIVE PROVIDED WITH HOLE COVER FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE SHUTOFF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive provided with a hole cover for electromagnetic wave shielding. SOLUTION: This hard disk drive is provided with: a housing having a base plate and a cover plate; a spindle motor provided on the base plate; a disk for data storage to be mounted on the spindle motor; an actuator having a magnetic head for recording data on the disk or reproducing recorded data and provided on the base plate in a freely rotatable way by a voice coil motor; and a printed circuit board provided on the bottom face of the base plate. A through-hole for recording servo track information on a recording surface of the disk is formed on the base plate, and a hole cover made of a metal plate having electric conductivity for covering the through-hole is attached to the bottom face of the base plate in order to interrupt the propagation of electromagnetic waves generated from the printed circuit board into the housing.
