<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from firmly sticking to a developer carrier, and to obtain an image of high image quality over a long period, as for an image forming apparatus introducing a developing apparatus using two-component developer. <P>SOLUTION: As for the image forming apparatus introducing the developing apparatus wherein the two-component developer is carried by a rotary sleeve 21 equipped with a magnetic field generating means fixedly arranged inside, and wherein, the developer is carried to a developing area facing a photoreceptor 1 so as to develop the image, a means 27 for removing the toner lying on the sleeve surface is arranged on the downstream side of the developing area and on the upstream side of a position where the sleeve starts carrying the two-component developer in the rotating direction of the sleeve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
