<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance transformer for an inverter which is used for a drive circuit of a cold cathode tube used as a backlight, etc., of a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The transformer for the inverter includes a core 1 having a central leg part 13 disposed between two side leg parts 11 and 12 so that these leg parts 11-13 are sandwiched between two coupling parts 14 and 15 to form a magnetic circuit, a primary winding 2 provided on the leg part 12, and a secondary winding 3 provided on the leg part 13. Gaps 11A, 12A are respectively formed in the leg parts 11, 12, and the windings 2 and 3 are disposed in such a manner that one end face 2A of the winding 2 is disposed at an end of the leg part 12 and the winding 2 is opposed to the winding 3 in a length direction of the leg part 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
