<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial data receiver capable of outputting correct parallel data even when input serial data are distorted. <P>SOLUTION: A parallel conversion section 2 applies parallel conversion to an input serial bit stream subjected to oversampling by an oversampling section 1, a data division section 3 divides the bit stream into groups corresponding to the number of oversampling times, and a word searching section 4 searches a reference word of the divided bit stream. An output data selection section 6 outputs a bit stream when the bit stream coincident with the reference word exists or outputs a bit stream by one word on the basis of word start position information that is stored when no coincident bit stream exists. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
