TEST SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

There is provided a test system capable of giving a partial point in addition to the binary evaluation of correct/incorrect in an English achievement test or the like. The test system includes computers (101, 102) having I/O devices (207, 208) and a network (103) such as the Internet. Estimation of an item parameter and ability utilizes a partial point model obtained by modifying the conventional item reaction theory. In this partial point model, a partial point is assumed to be composed of a correct/incorrect average of a plurality of items having the same parameter. By using this test system, it becomes easier than in the conventional system to control a test of a question form which is difficult to be judged only by correct/incorrect and requires a partial point such as writing and speaking in a foreign language test.
