<p>The invention concerns a device (2) comprising a support (21) extending along a general direction oriented perpendicular to the forward moving direction (F) of the strip (1) to be inspected and including a surface (22) receiving at least part of the illuminated inspection zone (16) of a camera (10). The support bears means (3) for determining the transverse position of the optical axis (A), means (4) for determining the orientation of the line of sight (L) in the strip plane, and means (5) for determining the inclination of the optical axis (A) relative to the forward moving direction (F), said different means comprising test patterns (31, 41, 51) having clear shade transition lines (32; 42, 43; 52, 53) so as to be detectable by the camera, and being specifically oriented such that their position in the image viewed by the camera of the line of sight (L) formed on the surface (22) of the support should represent the position of said line of sight (L) relative to the support, and hence of the positioning of the camera.</p> |
